Italy is an exciting and inspiring place to explore. Stretching lazily in a stiletto boot shaped peninsula towards the Mediterranean Sea, Italy is bordered to the north by France, Switzerland, Austria, and Slovenia. Its entire east, south and west coasts are surrounded by sea and the island of Sicily is a short distance from the 'toe’ of the mainland. This vibrant Mediterranean country is famous for its art, culture, architecture, history, scenery and cuisine. One of the healthiest diets in the world, Italian food brings families, friends and visitors together to celebrate the bountiful fresh ingredients found growing in this mild climate.
