Argentina is the second largest country in South America and shares a long border with Chile to the west, Bolivia, Paraguay and Brazil to the north, and Uruguay to the northeast. This huge country is home to most of the longest mountain range in the world, the Andes, which stretches through Argentina north into six other South American countries. As the eighth largest country in the world, and one of the most biodiverse, there is so much to explore in Argentina. This vast place, rich with Latin heritage and culture, encompasses territory from parts of Antarctica, several island clusters including the disputed Falkland Islands and other marine regions making it home to an astonishing amount of flora, fauna, animal and marine life.

With such diverse terrain and an eclectic vibrant culture, it is no wonder that Argentina attracts visitors from all over the world. At 6,961m high, mount Aconcagua is the tallest mountain in the southern and western hemispheres and is the highest mountain in the world outside of Asia. Situated in the Andean mountain range, Aconcagua is one of the iconic Seven Summits, the highest summits on each of the seven continents, and Kandoo Adventures are proud to offer the Aconcagua Climb Argentina trip as one of their most challenging adventures. Our 18-day trek to summit Aconcagua is rated as a difficult trek and is popular with climbers who have already summited Kilimanjaro. Aconcagua is an achievable summit for those who are physically fit and mentally prepared and it requires no technical climbing skills.

Much further south Kandoo Adventures Land of Fire Argentina trip is perfect for those who don’t fancy the physical effort required for Aconcagua but still want to experience trekking in Argentina and explore the southern islands instead.
