Is it safe to travel to Tbilisi Georgia, now?
Tbilisi is generally considered to be a safe destination for travellers. Although it shares the same risks as travel to any other city, and we would recommend taking precautions such as keeping all your valuables in a safe place, Tbilisi is a relatively small and friendly city. -
Can UK citizens travel to Georgia?
UK and US citizens can visit Georgia for up to one year without the need for a visa. -
How do I get to Georgia from the UK?
The quickest and cheapest way to reach Georgia is by plane.For those travelling from the UK, there are indirect flights from London and Manchester with Pegasus, Ryan Air and Easyjet with layovers in Instanbul or Budapest. If travelling from Glasgow, you will need to go via London.

Is it good to travel Georgia now?
Our trips do not go to the Russian-occupied Georgian regions of South Ossetia and Abkhazia which is where civil unrest is most likely to occur. Outside of these regions Georgia is considered a safe destination to travel to. -
Is Georgia a cheap country to visit?
In comparison to Western standards, Georgia is a fairly cheap place to visit. The average cost of a three course meal is around ₾60-80 ($20-30). A taxi ride will generally start at ₾2 ($0.75) whereas a one way bus ticket for a 10 minute journey will be around ₾0.4 ($0.15). If you are wanting some souvenirs to take home then these generally cost anywhere between ₾15-270 ($5-$100) for gifts that will pack into your main bag. -

How many days are enough for Georgia?
This is really dependent on what you wish to experience whilst you are here. If you are travelling to Georgia for the epic, mountainous landscapes then 8-10 days trekking through the Georgian wilderness will most likely wet your appetite. Summer time is peak season for trekking in the Caucasus. The snows have now melted away and the passes are open for business. Temperatures are between 10°C and 24°C. The highest temperatures occur in August when there is also a greater possibility of rain as afternoon thunderstorms are common. September is the most reliable month with warm days and less rain. -
What is the best time to visit Georgia?
In spring time the temperatures in the Caucasus get much warmer but the snow will still remain for a while longer at higher elevations. This is a nice time for walking with the flowers starting to bloom and temperatures between 5°C and 20°C but the amount of snow that remain means you may not be ale to complete any high level treks just yet.
