Some destinations were made for exploring from the water, not on foot. In addition to the iconic treks we organise, Kandoo Adventures offer kayaking holidays to truly spectacular locations. Discovering a new place from your kayak is a completely different kind of adventure to trekking – for one thing, your arms and core are getting the workout, not your feet!

Our kayaking adventure holidays are available both in the warmer climates of Oman and Cuba and the cooler climbs of Svalbard, Norway and Greenland. Whether you have experience kayaking or you’ve never sat in a kayak before, we have options to suit your level of ability. All trips that include kayak tours will kit you out with all kayak equipment including kayaks and paddles, a kayak buoyancy aid and kayak dry suit, and will include an introduction to kayaking. The only exception to this is our Texas Bar Svalbard Kayaking adventure, where the difficulty rating is higher, and experience of paddling in a kayak is a must. This is our most extreme kayaking adventure to the north of the Svalbard Archipelago where you’ll find the untouched wonders of the Arctic Circle, dramatic icebergs, ancient glaciers and sharp rocky outcrops. Not for the faint-hearted but well worth the effort, help here is a long way away but you’re in safe hands with our expert guides exploring some of the most remote ice caps in the world.

The type of kayaking trips we offer including varying amounts of time on the water so you can choose how wet you want to get. Try our Cuba Discovery multi-activity adventure and not only will you get to paddle through mountains and camp along the lake shore, but you’ll also try salsa dancing, take a city tour and enjoy a horseback safari. For those wanting more time on the water Kayak to the Ice Sheet in Greenland and spend 4 days sea kayaking through the Greenlandic wilderness, camping at the waterside, foraging for dinner and wildlife spotting from the water.

Our local guides are experienced and knowledgeable allowing you to sit back and just enjoy paddling on one of our awesome kayak holidays. The boats we use are typically tandem kayaks as you can cover more ground when you have double the paddle power and we make sure all our kit is high quality to keep you dry, warm and comfortable. Your equipment, luggage and kit will be stowed in your boats and the group numbers are small, ensuring that your group kayaking adventure is sociable and supportive. Accommodation is typically camping in tents and homestays for more remote destinations, or hotels and lodges in more populated areas.
