High-altitude adventures

Guiding people safely into the high mountains is what we do best at Kandoo adventures. We have a wide range of high altitude trips for every level of ability and experience, whether you are looking for a gentle 3000m introduction to altitude or a colossal 7000m peak. Our trips are carefully planned to make sure your body has time to acclimatise properly and our first class guides and equipment mean you are well taken care of every step of the way.

We have more than 10 years of experience in high altitude trekking all over the world with a flawless safety record. The key to avoiding altitude sickness is to stay well hydrated and acclimitise properly, this means not just running straight up the mountain but allowing your body to adjust to the changes in the air by taking it slowly. Our trips are all designed to provide you with plenty of time to adjust to the altitude and our guides will keep a close eye on you to make sure you stay well hydrated and do not over exert yourself. On many of our high altitude adventures we carry out daily health checks to monitor your blood oxygen levels and we have well established descent procedures should we need to evacuate quickly. Your safety is always our first priority.

If you already have plenty of high altitude experience and are looking for the next big challenge, take a look at the summit of Aconcagua, South America's highest peak.
