Guyana in a few words...

Vast expanses of unbroken rainforest, a canopy ocean threaded together by the gently winding rivers...welcome to Guyana. Known to many, but explored by few, Guyana really is a hidden gem in South America's tropics. With many of the world's biggest, from waterfalls to snakes to giant eagles it is home to a whole host of worldy wonders. Tread along barely broken trails into one of only four remaining areas of pristine rainforest in the world, as you embark on a journey into the land of treasure troves and secret hideaways.

Guyana lies in the North East of the South American continent and is bordered by Venezuela, Suriname and Brazil. With 80% of the country covered by rainforest, Guyana is home to a whole host of incredible wildlife, often endemic to these unique regions; huge black caimans, the rare Harpy Eagle, delicately featured tamarins and of course, the native, eloquently coloured Cock-of-the-Rock.
